Torch-ured Hearts, etc.

Please visit our friends, Lori Plyler of Studio Waterstone and Andrew Thornton of The Writings of Andrew Thornton at Art Saves ... doing good through the power of art. This site is hosted by Jenny Doh, author of the book, "Art Saves."  Jenny is the former Editor-In-Chief of Stampington Publications, which includes one of our favorites, Belle Armoire Jewelry!

With Valentine's Day approaching so fast, we thought we'd have a little fun with our "Torch-ured Hearts," which Chris, one of the PWF Team, so aptly named.  These hearts are run through the rolling mill to create the most delicate little flower texture. They are treated to a "flame patina" and sterling silver is fused in place. They also have a nice varnish on them to prevent changes in the color.  They measure 1.5" h x 1" w.  You can find them at Painting with Fire Artwear's etsy shop for $12 each.

Welcome the talented Lori Plyler of Waterstone Studio!

I am the proud owner of several of Lori's handbags/totes.  I liked mine so much, I  gave a clutch of Lori's to my mother for Mother's Day.  Mom was tickled!  So I knew I wanted to include Lori in this Virtual Book Tour.  Besides the fact that I like Lori and think she's over-the-top cool and talented, I thought of her super-cool bags and how great the enamel elements would look with them.  Look what Lori made!

Here's the giveaway at Lori's blog.

Giveaway at Waterstone!

This is a great giveaway ... because I can vouch for the maker of gorgeous bags and totes! I own three! It's dangerous for me to visit Lori Plyler's shop, Waterstone, because what I keep saying to myself is, "I better buy that bag because one day Lori is going to triple her prices!" Folks, she's that good, I'm not kidding and if it weren't 5:46 am, I'd get up out of bed and take some pictures of the bags I have.

Lori not only makes beautiful things, they function equally as well. She pays attention to detail ... how the strap feels resting on your shoulder, is the closure placed properly and is it secure, the lining and how many pockets ... I can't say enough good things about Lori and her bags at Waterstone. Do yourself a favor and enter the drawing ... Do you feel lucky?
