Do you ever have those days where just everything seems to fall into place? Where you're filled to the point of brimming over? Well, yesterday was one of those days. It started with my daughter and her fiance meeting with Brandi Image at 7 a.m. for save-the-date photos. Brandi posted two photos on facebook as teasers. The was one of them. There was a marathon taking place in downtown St. Pete and Brandi had Laura and Matt embrace in the middle of the pack.
Laura said the runners were good sports (!) and were shouting things like "Marry that girl!", "Get a room!"
After the shoot they picked up poor old mom (me) and we headed for IHOP. I can't tell you the last time I ate at IHOP. It was fun!
I came home and started cleaning up my messy house ... because hubby was arriving from Maryland in a few hours, but not before going to my son's apartment to watch the Redskin finally kick some ass! The sports commentators are saying it was a near perfect game. 31 to 6 over the Eagles!
I walked the dogs and then left to pick up hubby at the airport! He was so excited to see me. Even after 40 years! The kids gathered back at the homestead to welcome their dad back to Florida. He has a Thanksgiving surprise for them, which I dare not reveal.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend and you experienced little joys throughout the day! When added together, these little gifts amount to wonderful days! I'd love to hear what your weekend was like ... good, bad or indifferent!. :-)

I saw Brandi's post about this crazy couple getting up super early for a shoot... Saw the name and was wondering if that was your daughter!! How exciting!
Congrats to your family!
Fantastic photo
Well, even IF you cheered the dreaded Redskins on to beating the Eagles...I'm still loving Laura's photo. Very original. Hope y'all have a fabulous Thanksgiving day.

The "dreaded Redskins!" ... that's been their nickname in our house forever! They dash our hopes all the time ... except for last Sunday ... they finally triumphed!
Barbara, I completely agree with Courtney - I sure got the chills and felt such a pang reading about your daughter's "save the date" photo shoot (and what a cool, modern thing to do).... wish that was the trend when I got engaged, would have loved to do a shot at the Academy!
Brandi is an amazing photographer! WOW. To capture such a sweet moment in the midst of a marathon - it is just amazing. Gotta frame this one! You must be one proud Mom!!
And IHOP? A family favorite! Unfortunately they are not abundant in VA.
