North Light DVD, Day 1

Well, we arrived safe, sound and tired to North Light's studios.  If you've never been to Cincinnati, what you don't know, besides the fact it's a beautiful city, is that it's one of the hardest cities to get to and one of the most expensive cities to fly to!  Up yesterday morning at 5:30 a.m., taxi arrives at 6:30 a.m., arrive in Cincinnati at 1:20 p.m.  Lots of dramamine dreams stuffed into the hours between.

We picked up the car and drove to North Light's studios. I was still rehearsing stuff in my head as we unloaded and somewhat organized things.  This is the lovely Kristy Conlin, editor, arranging the set.  I brought a few posters of beauty shot photos taken by Ric Deliantonio for the book.  Ric will be at the helm today at the video shoot.  I'm praying to God that I don't flub up too much!

Kristy in action!

As luck would have it, we finished just in time to get to Thompson Enamel before they closed.  The ever-helpful Teresa Workman, Sales Manager at Thompson, is perusing the shelves for some exotic enamels.

Teresa, intently studying a jar of enamel!

I picked up a bunch of enamel pens, acrylic and watercolor enamels for painting ... items for decorative work on enamel.  Teresa and Tom Ellis, Thompson's artistic and technical guru, joined us for dinner at a restaurant overlooking the beautiful Ohio River. What a nice way to decompress from a hectic day ... to spend it with such great people.

Wow how exciting! Good luck on your venture, I'm excited to see the final result. And also great to put a face to a name, (Teresa) as I call them (Tom) every few days with questions on enameling. It will be really great someday to make the trip to Thompson and take some classes from Tom! Have fun Barb! Smile Big!

Good luck to you today! I know it will be great! Also, if you are still here and free this evening, do you know about the Ohio Enamel Guild meeting at Thompson's? They have talented members teaching techniques at most sessions, and tonight's is on separation enamel.
How fun it would be for all of us to have you join us!
