Let's start with the premise that I hate being in front of the camera! But, when you're being ganged up on by your family and they're chiding you, you give in. If you don't see anything else from this video than the fact that you can make beautiful torch-fired enamel work, just take it from me ... you can! Be kind! I'm no actress!
Please go here for more details about the eCourse. :-) Barbara
It is lovely to see you in action Barbara, and to hear you. However excited I am about your e-course I have decided to not take it. Not this time that is. Maybe and hopefully in the future I will be able to. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your story, I enjoyed learning about you. Congrats on the book achievement!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, I love you! Fabulous video. Though, I already knew most of this information about you, it was great to watch you talk. Also, I loved seeing your pottery from your previous life, I had not seen it before. Beautiful, beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteGreat new video and I loved the previous studio tour. It's nice to meet you - even if not in person yet.
ReplyDeleteBarbara, I think you did a wonderful job with the video! You spoke as if you were speaking to a small group of people - very comfortably. Loved seeing your pottery!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, congrats on the book ranking!!
I agree - you did a WONDERFUL job in front of the camera! Loved hearing about your journey! :)

Thank you guys so much. I think we have the most encouraging community of artists!
ReplyDeleteI loved your video!!!I now hope I can take a class from you. I also had a craft "job" for 16+ years and and now shifting gears and looking to find my niche. I have your book and some torch/enamel supplies just need to get with it. Thanks for sharing your story. Lori
ReplyDeleteGreat video Barbara. Oh my, I loooove those pots and loved hearing your story. Hopefully one day I can take an e-class with you (when I get over my fear of flames).
ReplyDeleteexcellent video! i am sure you are a wonderful teacher! the e-course will be priceless to so many who cannot get to the workshops...
ReplyDeleteAlthough I've already met you in person and took your class, it was so nice to watch this video and learn a little bit more about you. You definitely are a warm and nurturing person and a great teacher. See you on the 18th!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, great job on this video! You may not be an actress but you ARE a natural presenter. We are so similar in our backgrounds (except for the rotator cuff injury)and we have our hubbies to thank for getting us started with the tools! A few comments: you seem a bit subdued-- I'd like to see more smiles! I know you have a lovely one. Also, I'd love to see you wearing some of your wonderful pieces for a bit more color. You are a jewelry designer, after all! you're allowed. Your pots are fabulous, by the way. I'd like to see some of your enamel pieces as you describe why yours are so unique. They would be good props and make the dialog more relevant. Hope this helps-- all in the spirit of support, of course!
