Congratulations ladies! Cindy will be in touch with you or you can get in touch with her ...
Now, on with the show! I have really enjoyed getting to know Laura. We've giggled a lot over the past couple of years ... in classes I've given and classes I've taken when Laura and I were students. My daughter's name is even "Laura." We found out that we have a lot in common. I don't know if you saw the photos Laura posted on her blog of her studio during the "cleaning up" phase ... I thought, "OMG! She's me!" There was jewelry stuff, a sewing machine, pottery stuff ... which is my creative history!
When Laura said that she was drawn to the No-Solder Bezel project, I thought, "That's great!" But, I had no idea how much she liked it! LOL Look at these! But you must go to her blog because there's much, much more! Laura, your success with these bezels is definitely a pat on my head!

As a tribute to Laura's love of pottery, we're giving away these porcelain beads that have been torch-fired! Yes, you heard me right ... these are clay beads that I've torch-fired with enamel like I do a metal bead.

ReplyDeleteHey
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog and where is it just an exciting blog you have. I just startet work with enamel, and love your color combinations.
I apologize for my english and hope I make myself understandable.
I would ask if I may use the image from the front of your new book on my blog where will I write that I've discovered your fantastic blog and will of course link to your blog?
Beautiful bezels and torch fired beads!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to hop on over to Laura's blog to see what else she has up her sleeve. : )
I love the idea of enamel on ceramic pieces. I wonder if you will ever run out of new ideas for using this method. I certainly hope not. Laura's bezels really inspired me. I might not have been willing to try this technique if I had not seen her lovely work.
ReplyDeleteI do follow your blog.
The no solder bezel is one of the cleverest techniques in your book and Laura has done it beautifully. I guess I'm going to have to win those seashells if you're not going to start selling them on your site.
ReplyDeleteWhat?! With porcelain beads too! WAY cool!
ReplyDeleteI'm worried I'm going to go thru withdrawal in four days after the book tour ends. You have chosen such great folks to introduce us to. At least I can continue to follow you here and at workshops.
