Enameling on Brass

Here are just a few things I did this afternoon in response to, "I didn't know you could enamel on brass."

And, the little "Blue Bird of Happiness" wishes you a Happy Easter!

My metals Prof said it couldn't be done! You have proved her wrong! Wait until I tell her on Monday.

oops, my word verification is "flogg". Maybe I shouldn't tell her...

Oh Barbara! What beautiful things you have made again. I esp like those orange-pink things and the blue bird. I have also seen your new springbeads on etsy. Love them too. I would believe you could enamel on many different materials , as long as it can handle the heat and the melting glass. I have some ceramic beads i bought in england which are enameled. They are very nice and shiny. All my best, Malin

Beautiful! I can't get the enamel to stay on the brass. I'll try getting the brass a little hotter and dipping it more quickly.

Kudos - it is said that enameling on brass will not hold. So, how did you do it?
Have a wonderful and Happy Easter, Barbara!!

I knew it! I knew when I kept having problems with all those vintage enameled stackable flowers (chippy, rusty, unstable for wearing) that someone much more capable then me could use the raw flowers and enamel on them. I am so excited to try this! Thank you for your encouragement and sharing!
