So what happens when you have a great customer who orders "one of every color" in Thompson Enamels? Well, after you jump up and down a few times, you recruit a willing volunteer ... which is usually someone you have some influence over. In my case, it was my son, David.
He was really getting into it ... and tonight during the intermission of the Caps game, he went over to the studio to finish things up.
Here's a picture of me wearing my "Jerk" glasses! You remember the Steve Martin movie where he becomes a millionaire and then loses it all after he develops these wacky glasses. Well, I'm sorry the picture doesn't show it that well, but these magnifiers clip onto your regular glasses and you can lower and raise them as needed. I like them so much better than the magnivisor I have. Personal preference!

How sweet...working with your son! I hope to do that one day too when my guys are older. My 7 year old in particular is very interested in jewelry design. Barbara, your Painting with Fire ning site has really taken off! Congrats to you on all of your recent success!

"One of every color" - that sounds very very tempting. Would be great to see a photo of them alltogether. And is it something you would consider listing in your shop? How many beads would that be anyway? And what would it cost? Am I right in guessing you could also combine several colors. That would have me going for ever experimenting. Have you seen that super nice necklace by Lorelei with one of your white-ish beads? All my best!!! Malin
It's pretty dangerous to work with enamels... even just transferring them from one container to another, without wearing a mask.
It's great that he's helping, but put a mask on that boy! :)
I have those flip-up glasses too and love them. I get interesting reactions when I'm wearing them to do wirework at a show.
